mere possession

it is really unfortunate that love is used as an instrument
of hurt instead of something so fulfilling

we really work at strange relationships
and take our loved ones for granted

to the point of mere possessions and scorn
for a feeling that is supposed to be so uplifting

whey is there this degradation.. de-humanization
so much a lesser person..

does a complete surrender of self
a total giving.. just pure love
make one a mere possession?

not a person
a human being at all....
